Grass Elf/Description

From Kronopolis and the Flat Plane

Roaming the untamed grasslands, savannahs and steppes of the world, green elves have adapted to the prolonged journeys their environment demands. Whether that be outrunning danger or hunting prey through sheer persistence, or by the need to find new fertile lands. This has made green elves into a highly nomadic people, each season traveling to more hospitable soil.

Steppe Elves, also known as Windálver or Nomad Elves, are a subrace of Elves that have adapted to the vast grassy plains and steppes of the world. They are a nomadic people, traveling in small groups across the grasslands and following the herds of game that sustain them.

Steppe Elves are tall and slender, with sun-kissed skin and hair that ranges from sandy blonde to a deep brown. They are graceful and fleet-footed, able to run for hours without tiring. They are also skilled horse riders, and their herds of sleek and swift steeds are the backbone of their nomadic lifestyle.

The steppe is a harsh and unforgiving environment, with extreme temperatures and violent storms. But Steppe Elves have adapted to these challenges. They wear lightweight and breathable clothing, made from the wool of their herds, that allows them to stay cool in the scorching heat and warm in the freezing cold. They also use their expert knowledge of the terrain and the weather to avoid dangerous storms and find sources of water.

One of the most important aspects of Steppe Elves' culture is their connection to their horses. They believe that the horses are not just their mounts, but their partners and companions, and they treat them with the utmost care and respect. They also have a deep reverence for the spirits of the steppe, and they practice a complex system of rituals and ceremonies to honor the land and the animals that sustain them.

Despite their nomadic lifestyle, Steppe Elves are not isolated from the rest of the world. They are skilled traders and diplomats, and their caravans often travel to cities and settlements to trade goods and information. They are also known for their expert archery skills, and many Steppe Elves serve as mercenaries and archers in the armies of other kingdoms and empires.

Overall, Steppe Elves are a proud and fiercely independent people, with a deep respect for the harsh and beautiful landscape that has shaped their way of life.
