While Warfare can be used to study tactics and strategy, it can also be used in the specific cases to study a creature specifically. Making a Warfare Assessment is a Minor Action and can be done during combat. It can not be done outside of combat, unless the creature specifcally is engaged in combat.

When you make a Warfare Assessment, make a Warfare (Intelligence) check or a Warfare (Wisdom) check. Depending on the roll of the die and the DC of the creature, which is determined by its rarity, obscurity or other aspect that makes it hard to assess, a Warefare Assessment can let you know the following features of a creature. For each difficulty level above the target, you may choose another feature to gain information about.
