< Halfling
Halfmen, half folk, smallfolk... halfling. Many names exist for these humans, but most or even all names come from their siblings, sapiens. Even though they still count as human, homo sapiens have in many ways taken the name 'human' for themselves.
Halfling are generally a joyous folk, but rather slow in their societal advancement. This may be because unlike their taller brethren, they enjoy a long lifespan, and are far more fortunate in the grand scheme of things. Whether this is biology or fate is however up for debate.
